The SHORTFIT saddle was created to meet the needs of the most demanding cyclists who, for certain types of training sessions or rides, rotate their bust a lot moving to a position close to the handlebars. The special ergonomic shape of this new saddle features reduced length and ensures proper support in the generous rear section and optimum pressure distribution in the front section.
The long central cutout (Open -Fit) guarantees all-day comfort and support on the whole length of the saddle. The combination of lightweight, comfort and responsiveness won the wheels many fans and propelled the wheels to the top of the Panda Podium best sellers chart. For the past two years CRW have been quietly working on small refinements to the winning formula.
- Bigger in the Rear
While tire width will no doubt be debated amongst roadies until the end of time, it is generally acknowledged that more air volume in a tire has multiple advantages ranging from being able to run lower tire pressures without the risk of rim damage, but also more stable tire pressures as the tire deforms. Combined with the continuing trend for wider and wider tires on road bikes Craft Racing Works (CRW) listened to feedback and widened the rear rim to better match the front. The internal width of the rear has risen from 21mm up to 24mm with a similar increase in external widths.
- Weight Reduction
While the CS series were already the lightest in their class, the 2026 version improves on that by reducing the weight of the wheelset by 40g. This means the 2026 CS 5060 (50mm front, 60mm rear) now has an official weight of just 1250g ±2%! The CS 4045 (40mm front, 45mm rear) now weighs just 1140g ±2%! These are weights that were inconceivable for disc brake wheels just a few years ago
- Bearing Preload Adjustment
Bearings are a key component in the performance of a wheelset. All bearings need a set amount of preload to provide optimum performance and guarantee a longer lifespan. In the disc brake thru-axle world the amount of preload on the bearing can vary from bicycle to bicycle. Therefore the 2026 hubs come with an adjustable pre-load system. From the factory they're preset for optimal performance on road bikes with 10-12N·m of torque through the thru-axle. However, if upon installation the user finds suboptimal performance of the bearings, they can loosen the grub screw, adjust the pre-load and re-tighten the grub screw. (This should be done with the wheels clamped in the bike in an as-ridden setup.) If during the life of the bearings some 'play' appears in the bearings, the preload collar can be tightened to restore optimal performance and increase bearing life.
- How do they ride?
Riding back-to-back you're hard pressed to tell the difference between the old wheels. The increase in air volume at the rear means you have to drop out a few PSI for the same feeling. The 40g difference is obviously making a difference on the climbs, but it's not immediately obvious when riding.
Other than that, they retain the same riding characteristics of the previous generation. That is to say a wheelset that accelerates crazy fast, absorbs road imperfections better than it's carbon-spoked rivals and still feels direct and stiff when laying down the power.

The Muc-Off Crank Preload Ring is a super durable, precision CNC machined 7075 piece of hardware.
It allows you to precisely adjust the ‘preload’ tension on the bottom bracket bearings. What does this do? It helps to remove the side-to-side play and slack in thru-spindle bottom brackets, to help maximise the life of your bottom bracket bearing, as well as giving you a creak-free ride. It also comes in our classic anodised colours for added bling!
It fits onto the left crank arm of any mountain, gravel or road bikes that have SRAM, RaceFace or Easton 30mm spindle cranks, or SRAM DUB 28.99mm spindles installed.

HOW TO
SRAM 30MM SPINDLES
Tools required: Alongside your usual bike tools required to remove your cranks, you’ll also need a bottle of thread lock (Loctite 638 or similar).
- Place the bike in a bike stand.
- Either remove the chain completely or remove it from the front chainring.
- Remove the entire crankset according to manufactures instructions.Loosen the bolt on the OEM crank ring with an appropriately sizedtool.
- Turn the ring clockwise one full turn.
- Tighten the bolt.
- Pull on the crank ring to remove the entire assembly, including thespacer ring.
- Place the OEM crank ring to one side, this will not be reused.
- Clean the crank spindle thoroughly using Muc-Off Bio Degreaser.
- Unbox the ‘Muc-Off Crank Pre-Load Ring’.
- Slide the appropriate Muc-Off spacer ring onto the crank spindle.
- Check you have the correct size installed, it should be a tight fit, the spacer ring should not wobble.
- Remove the spacer ring and apply a small amount of thread lock to the area of the spindle where the spacer ring will be located.
- Slide the spacer ring back onto the spindle.
- Wipe away any excess thread lock - Avoid getting any onto thethreads.
- Rotate the spacer half a turn to ensure good thread lock coverage
- Leave the thread lock to set for 24 hours.
- Screw the Pre-Load Ring onto the spacer until it’s finger tight.
- Reinstall the crankset onto the bike.
- Unscrew the Preload Ring following the directional arrows, until ittouches the bottom bracket bearing.This does not need to be tight,just enough to stop the crankset frommoving.
- Tighten the stainless bolt to 1Nm torque with a 2mm Hex Key.
- Give the cranks a spin to ensure everything is moving smoothly. Ifthere is too much resistance, loosen the bolt and back off the Preload Ring slightly.
Periodically spray a protectant such as HCB-1, MO-94 or Bike Spray onto body to ensure there is zero corrosion.
RACEFACE®
Tools required: Alongside your bike tools to remove your cranks you will also require a bottle of thread lock (Loctite 638 or similar)
- Place the bike in a bike stand
- Either remove the chain completely or remove it from the front chainring.
- Remove the entire crankset according to manufacture instructions. Loosen the bolt on the Raceface crank ring with an appropriately sized tool.
- Unscrew the existing Raceface preload ring and remove it from the spindle.
- Place the OEM crank ring to one side, this will not be reused.
- Clean the crank spindle thoroughly using Muc-Off Bio Degreaser.
- Unbox the Muc-Off Crank Preload Ring.
- Screw the Preload ring onto the spacer until it is finger tight. (You will not need a spacer ring.)
- Reinstall the crankset to the bike.
- Unscrew the Preload Ring in the direction the arrows shows until it touches the bottom bracket bearing. This does not need to be tight, just enough to stop the crankset from moving.
- Tighten the stainless bolt to 1Nm torque with a 2mm Hex Key
- Give the cranks a spin to ensure everything is moving smoothly. If there is too much resistance, loosen the bolt and back off the Preload Ring slightly. RACE FACE® is a registered trademark. SRAM™ is a registered trademark.
