The former model AERO-R1 debuted in 2017 as an aero road helmet with a short tail and high aerodynamic performance. Through repeated data analysis and wind tunnel testing, the AERO-R2 aims to further improve aerodynamic characteristics while maintaining the basic form that reduces aerodynamic drag not only when riding straight ahead, but also in crosswinds and when looking backward.
The most distinctive feature is the "Air Tunnel Structure (PAT.P)" in the center of the helmet. Air passes through the air tunnel, which consists of an air hole placed straight through the helmet from the center of the frontal area and an "air path plate" installed inside the helmet. The air that enters the helmet is channeled backward while being regulated, and aerodynamic performance is improved by suppressing air resistance.
Air holes and air routes have been optimized to improve ventilation performance for comfort. The interior is made of COOLMAX® material, which absorbs water and dries quickly, and the chinstrap features MOFF® deodorant fiber and water repellency, as well as KBF-2 adjusters with the Boa® fit system for a precise fit.
The AERO-R2 is equipped with a new "anti-slip buckle" locking mechanism that prevents the chinstrap from loosening compared to conventional buckles, while the AERO-R2TR is equipped with a "magnetic buckle" for fast and secure attachment and removal.

Unit price perAERO-R2 is an aero road helmet with "aerodynamic performance" cultivated in the world of track competitions and "comfort" that allows you to concentrate on racing even in the toughest road races.
It is a practical helmet that demonstrates high aerodynamics with its shell structure, which was derived through repeated data analysis and wind tunnel testing, also with the rectifying effect of the "Air Tunnel Structure (PAT.P)" that utilizes airflow inside the helmet.
The newly released "AERO-R2 Mips" is the model equipped with a system called Mips (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) on AERO-R2.
The Mips system consists of a low-friction layer attached to the inside of the helmet. In the event of a crash, the low-friction layer is designed to move slightly within the helmet, helping to redirect the force away from the head. This is intended to reduce the risk of brain injury.
The graphic is based on the design used by Aleix Espargaró, a Kabuto supported rider and Mips ambassador who competes in MotoGP™, the world's premier motorcycle road race.
While competing in MotoGP™, Aleix also enjoys cycling and trains with some of the world's best cyclists.
The graphic design features a black base with dazzle camouflage all over the helmet and Aleix's favorite color, pink, as an accent. The top of the helmet also features Aleix's personal number, "41," in a bold layout.

The shape has been stripped down to the bare minimum, and the shell has been hollowed out in order to realise the development concept of lightweight, even if only slightly. Furthermore, a weight reduction of 8.8g has been achieved by reviewing the component structure of the conventional top model gram by gram.
In addition to weight reduction, the "floating structure" and "KBF-2 adjuster", which have been proven in previous models, have been adopted for comfort performance.
In the floating structure*, the newly equipped Y-shaped top pad "Air Flow Pad" reduces the contact area between the helmet and head, improving ventilation performance and contributing to weight reduction.
