All you have to do is remove the chain and then detach it from the rear derailleur with a twisting motion. Assembly is just as easy as disassembly. You can also use it to upgrade your XX, X0 or GX Transmission rear derailleur to the lightweight carbon cage.

The cage is delivered to you completely pre-assembled including new pulleys, spring and damping.
