Whether it's your Carbon seatpost having a mind of its own or your Carbon stem is struggling to grip your handle bars, our mad scientists have come up with the answer. Put simply, the Muc-Off team have created a highly efficient carbon fibre assembly compound that is essential for preventing over-tightening and creating a secure ‘mating friction’ between carbon surfaces or indeed carbon to metal parts.

Designed for mechanics and riders building their own bike, the Muc-Off Carbon Gripper creates friction between carbon fibre clamping areas and lowers clamping torque thus decreasing the chance of fatigue, internal fractures or shortening component life.

The Muc-Off Ceramic coating is a highly advanced, durable, silicon-infused protective layer that chemically bonds to your paintwork, producing a high-performance hydrophobic layer for maximum water and dirt shedding properties. It’s designed to keep your steed cleaner for longer, and much easier to clean and maintain. This is because the coating drastically reduces the surface tension, providing long term, year-round protection to your pride and joy, even in the harshest weather conditions. It also contains UV protection to help ensure your paint doesn’t fade in direct sunlight and can help reduce the risk of micro scratches.  

Safe to use on paintwork, carbon fibre, metal components, wheels, vinyl and rigid plastic trim with protection lasting up to 2 years as its chemical resistant. You can use it on Gloss or Matt finishes (After curing it will give a richer and darker colour tone on matt finishes).

HOW TO

PREPARING THE SURFACE

1. Thoroughly wash your bike using Nano Tech Bike Cleaner, Punk Powder or Snow Foam, then ensure it is completely dry before starting the coating process
2. Depending on the condition of the paint or surface, perform the appropriate level of paint correction to remove any defects including swirl marks, water spots, and scratches. Keep in mind this product is very durable and will seal in any imperfections
3. Remove any excess paint correction or wax/polish residue by wiping all painted surfaces with surface prep spray. Simply spray onto the microfibre cloth and wipe down

CERAMIC COATING APPLICATION

1. We recommend applying the coating in a cool, dry, clean area, inside with good lighting and ventilation. For non-factory finishes test a small inconspicuous area prior to full coverage.
2. Shake the bottle thoroughly for 10 seconds to activate the formula.
3. We recommend wearing protective gloves when applying the coating.
4. Unscrew the child-resistant cap, then apply the coating sparingly and evenly along the provided microfiber applicator pad. (A little coating goes a long way).
5. Starting at the highest surfaces, work in a crosshatch #, overlapping pattern to ensure all areas are coated. We recommend limiting application areas to the approximate size of 1 bike tube/panel at a time. Relax and take your time, applying slowly and carefully for the best results.
6. Add additional coating to the applicator pad when the coating is not being applied evenly and or the applicator does not glide over the surface smoothly.
7. Allow the wet coating to cure for 5 minutes. During this time the coated surface will develop a rainbow-like appearance. In this time check that you have covered all areas. Using the provided microfiber cloth, lightly buff the surface using small circular motions to a high gloss, mirror-like finish. Be sure to check the surface in multiple light angles to ensure all the rainbow effect has been removed. Do not allow the wet coating to cure for longer than 5 minutes and ensure it has all been buffed off.
8. Once buffed off, let the coating fully cure for 24 hours in a cool dry place before exposing it to water or the elements. (For best results and adhesion, we do not recommend washing for at least 48 hours after application).
9. You can easily layer up the coating with a second application for even longer durability, simply follow the costing application instructions above after the first layer has fully cured. You do not need to re-prep.

DESCRIPTION

The Muc-Off Crank Preload Ring is a super durable, precision CNC machined 7075 piece of hardware.

It allows you to precisely adjust the ‘preload’ tension on the bottom bracket bearings. What does this do? It helps to remove the side-to-side play and slack in thru-spindle bottom brackets, to help maximise the life of your bottom bracket bearing, as well as giving you a creak-free ride. It also comes in our classic anodised colours for added bling!

It fits onto the left crank arm of any mountain, gravel or road bikes that have SRAM, RaceFace or Easton 30mm spindle cranks, or SRAM DUB 28.99mm spindles installed.

Our precision crank pre-load ring fits onto the left crank arm of:

• Mountain bikes

• Road bikes

• SRAM 30mm spindle cranks
• Race Face 30mm spindle crank
• Easton 30mm spindle cranks

HOW TO

SRAM 30MM SPINDLES

Tools required: Alongside your usual bike tools required to remove your cranks, you’ll also need a bottle of thread lock (Loctite 638 or similar).

1. Place the bike in a bike stand.
2. Either remove the chain completely or remove it from the front chainring.
3. Remove the entire crankset according to manufactures instructions.Loosen the bolt on the OEM crank ring with an appropriately sizedtool.
4. Turn the ring clockwise one full turn.
5. Tighten the bolt.
6. Pull on the crank ring to remove the entire assembly, including thespacer ring.
7. Place the OEM crank ring to one side, this will not be reused.
8. Clean the crank spindle thoroughly using Muc-Off Bio Degreaser.
9. Unbox the ‘Muc-Off Crank Pre-Load Ring’.
10. Slide the appropriate Muc-Off spacer ring onto the crank spindle.
11. Check you have the correct size installed, it should be a tight fit, the spacer ring should not wobble.
12. Remove the spacer ring and apply a small amount of thread lock to the area of the spindle where the spacer ring will be located.
13. Slide the spacer ring back onto the spindle.
14. Wipe away any excess thread lock - Avoid getting any onto thethreads.
15. Rotate the spacer half a turn to ensure good thread lock coverage
16. Leave the thread lock to set for 24 hours.
17. Screw the Pre-Load Ring onto the spacer until it’s finger tight.
18. Reinstall the crankset onto the bike.
19. Unscrew the Preload Ring following the directional arrows, until ittouches the bottom bracket bearing.This does not need to be tight,just enough to stop the crankset frommoving.
20. Tighten the stainless bolt to 1Nm torque with a 2mm Hex Key.
21. Give the cranks a spin to ensure everything is moving smoothly. Ifthere is too much resistance, loosen the bolt and back off the Preload Ring slightly.

Periodically spray a protectant such as HCB-1, MO-94 or Bike Spray onto body to ensure there is zero corrosion.

RACEFACE®

Tools required: Alongside your bike tools to remove your cranks you will also require a bottle of thread lock (Loctite 638 or similar) 

1. Place the bike in a bike stand
2. Either remove the chain completely or remove it from the front chainring.
3. Remove the entire crankset according to manufacture instructions. Loosen the bolt on the Raceface crank ring with an appropriately sized tool.
4. Unscrew the existing Raceface preload ring and remove it from the spindle.
5. Place the OEM crank ring to one side, this will not be reused.
6. Clean the crank spindle thoroughly using Muc-Off Bio Degreaser.
7. Unbox the Muc-Off Crank Preload Ring.
8. Screw the Preload ring onto the spacer until it is finger tight. (You will not need a spacer ring.)
9. Reinstall the crankset to the bike.
10. Unscrew the Preload Ring in the direction the arrows shows until it touches the bottom bracket bearing. This does not need to be tight, just enough to stop the crankset from moving.
11. Tighten the stainless bolt to 1Nm torque with a 2mm Hex Key
12. Give the cranks a spin to ensure everything is moving smoothly. If there is too much resistance, loosen the bolt and back off the Preload Ring slightly. RACE FACE® is a registered trademark. SRAM™ is a registered trademark.

HOW TO

HOW TO

1. Shake the bottle vigorously to activate formula.
2. Spray onto the surface and leave for a time to penetrate the light contaminants.
3. Now gently wipe the area with a clean, dry microfiber cloth. With each wipe fold the cloth to a clean side.
4. Using another clean microfiber cloth buff all areas to leave a showroom shine.
5. Do not use on heavy grit/grime or stubborn contaminants as this will inevitably lead to surface scratching.
6. Always use microfiber cloths as they trap the dirt away from the surface.
